I purchased this product from a cheaper source, but use to determine these ratings to buy the head unit. The MEX-BT5700U had all the features I was looking for a decent price. I have a ‘92 Toyota pickup with a manual transmission, known as Bluetooth is not my highest priority (security), as has my state implemented the law still calls handsfree. My calls to highway speed (for Windows) were clear and his only noticed a slight hum / noise, and I showed it seemed very clear. This was with the supplied external microphone to the default settings for the gain and noise canceling.
Note: If you are an external microphone with ANY head unit (which is delivered has an external microphone), in order to use it, not on a drive that you are not the head can add or you can use to take care of a microphone. . . . Microphone placement is crucial. I have my microphone on the steering column in front of my gauges.
The club was simple, and iPod control is in a separate iPod so you do not need built-Controller Sony sold to other entities. I also bought the HD radio, but not yet installed.
Controls, and the layout is decent, but some functions of several presses a button to reach, or turn the knob. . . . This can be a little “difficult while driving. I can imagine that after some use, I see what is being done buttons to push what and how often to get a function. In my opinion, is no head unit completely intuitive, but I think this device provides a logical sense, but could certainly be improved, like any other head units on the market.
I recommend this unit to anyone looking for hands free calls and control can plug in your iPod. Control your iPod just the USB cable for iPod, and the device, it recognizes and takes control. The unit control the iPod, but there is nothing holding the iPod in the hand and select the type and to cultivate ways music. In view of the screen remains the artist name and song title to see is displayed, even if mode “passengers.” Again, I read a review of each unit, the “excellent” has control of the iPod. < br /> Four stars because of head no device is perfect, and Sony could probably spend more effort in making the controls intuitive.

Purchased this unit for a 1998 Pathfinder – really just wanted to add, Bluetooth and iPod. They were just playing with him for a short time, but thought I would provide feedback for others to check the unit. Overall I am very happy with the drive and the price I paid there is no reason to complain. (Using the existing amplifier and Bose, which were installed at the factory)
deficiencies:
1 iPod control from the main unit is basically useless if you have lots of music. Solution only control the music from your iPod. Use the main unit to make new songs, but almost impossible to find the song you if you have several thousand songs. You create playlists makes it a little “easier. Sony could have done a much better job with the iPod interface.
Second display – is really hard to see in daylight. Clear The background graphics helped some, but very difficult to detect. Others have reported this.
third category – had no problems with loading my contacts from my Blackberry Storm. However, I have a very extensive list of contacts that were not in the memory unit. I have some “research here to find out the deal. Solution – you browse the phone book vs. simply loading. Only when loading the number of contacts I have in the Care Group.
Likes:
1 Bluetooth phone is very good – the sensitivity of the microphone can be set very clear and the hands to be free.
2 Bluetooth music streaming – here really impressed, not always my iPod with me – but always on my BlackBerry when I saved a few thousand songs. If your phone supports Bluetooth stereo you can listen directly on the device.

I have just the product today, but I did extensive research before choosing this particular model. I was using for a player with BT for phone (to access the phone book looking for) and control my Ipod. I also discovered that Pioneer has given an interface too complex, and that is (still is the key to the storage station).
I can say that I am completely satisfied product. The display is very readable and the interface is very simple. You can touch all the menus with two or three of everything and you everywhere. The iPod interface is very easy and you can by playlist, genre, artist, title to search. . .
Bluetooth is very easy and I tried with my Nokia E71 and my BlackBerry 8520th Nokia has not PBAD (to access the phone book), but the BlackBerry has and it works great. The Nokia works fine, but not the name of who is calling.
The radio has an external microphone is included (no need to buy another of Amazon) and I feel strongly recommend to use it. The calls are clear and people say that I feel good.
Highly recommended.

This is a fantastic group. Plays all CD formats, has a charge storage of the USB port on the face of your iPhone or iPod, and you have full control over your music on the device. It can connect to the phone via Bluetooth and is equipped with a microphone and an external microphone, so you can easily talk hands free. It has also use a stereo Aux input on the right side of the machine if you have another type of MP3 player. This is so easy to use one device and makes it sooo much! Very satisfied with my purchase, which is actually the second unit I bought like this, one for each car, which I liked so well. And the price is right for all can!

Blufi: Very satisfied, speakerphone works very well, the surface of the iPod is more than enough data CDs and MP3 iPod sounds great, EQ tuning options is deep, but are not overwhelming, BT audio streaming solution fun. minor problems with the functions of the Palm Pre (PB fee)
Burns and review of site selection and Mayer were the good reviews just wanted a few things out there to throw for additonal consumers. I had this HU about a month and are fully satisfied with the price. I bought this unit and was head of a local dealer (installed more here). It was an upgrade from a Pioneer drive, my wife took me for my birthday. Negative comments about the Pioneer iPod interface is what scared me off. So I did, I traded over a hundred more than my wife and I have spent much better HU. Alpine Mountain is why some of the best iPod interfaces I’ve seen (just an opinion), but none of the mountain in this price range built in BT and could not see that extra money was for add ons. Unfortunately, my iPod does not work with this HU because they are too old, but my daughters nano works great and the reviews are is missing. It is not the best interface, but in reality is not a show stopper, or is more than sufficient. As others have said, I still do not see a HU with a learning curve. The controls take a little “getting used to esp when you come from a factory stereo. I installed this in a 2006 GMC Sierra P / U, I was nervous to go to a double-DIN single opening, but what about the Dash Kit ok and now I have extra storage cubby. The front panel is a little “spongy” but I am very picky.
sound. other reviews are still available. Using Bluetooth audio and AUX jack works if your in a pinch, but the sound is not as good as music from your iPod via USB. I paired with my Palm Pre complication and had very little association and is pretty cool to Pandora on my phone then use streaming my car radio. It’s also good to automatically pair when I get in my car. I also noticed that CDs are audio data discs ripped much better than the creation of a disk of the law for a conventional CD player . you can get much more music and sounds better. I mean HU with the equalizer to “XPLOD and DM + a” +2 “and makes my factory speakers scream pretty well. Can not wait to get a new iPod!
Calling. Unfortunately, my Palm is no voice dialing and I have problems with the column, but I havent with as much as I mixed up, and I think this is more an indication of the number, the main unit. However, the controls work fine HU and invites people sound clear and they told me to say, I’m talking hands free calls. The dealer installed the microphone to my headliner a few inches in front of my mirror and gather with me my voice to speak in a normal voice with the default settings.
display. I do not agree with the bad reviews are in display. I have no problem with the display and everything works great in both day and night. Even the white light on the dial does not bother me.
My problem is with my first, HU interface. I like to use the USB charger (car charger is $ 30) for my phone and HU regularly gives me a “not supported” beeps when I scroll through the sources. But after the phone, “said store only” and move on “unsupported” is set in accounting. With a Pre aka iPod Media Sync does not work. (Or have I havent seen) My next step is to try and upload music and games via USB.
